  • Doctor of Oriental Medicine (O.M.D.)
  • Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.)
  • Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS)
  • Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME)

Throughout his career, Dr. Mancini has worked closely with orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, primary care physicians, pain management specialists, physical therapists, psychologists, attorneys, nurse case managers, and occupational medicine providers to help patients achieve better functional outcomes through collaborative, integrative care.

For nearly three decades, Dr. Mancini has dedicated his career to helping people recover from pain, injury, and chronic health challenges by combining evidence-based acupuncture with modern medical science, clinical nutrition, movement rehabilitation, and nervous system regulation.

His Philosophy

His clinical focus extends beyond simply reducing pain. He believes that pain is often a sign that the body's ability to adapt and recover has been overwhelmed. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, he helps patients restore the physiological systems responsible for healing — including neuromuscular function, movement quality, stress regulation, sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle habits.

This philosophy has shaped the Center for Integrative Care into a practice that emphasizes functional restoration, resilience, and long-term health rather than temporary symptom relief.

Education & Training

Dr. Mancini earned his Doctor of Oriental Medicine degree through an evidence-based doctoral program designed to prepare Licensed Acupuncturists for integrative medical practice. His education emphasizes anatomy, physiology, pathology, neuroscience, orthopedics, rehabilitation, nutrition, pharmacology, and biomedical acupuncture, allowing him to communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals using the language of modern medicine.

He is also a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), a nationally recognized advanced nutrition credential requiring doctoral-level education, supervised clinical training, rigorous board certification, and ongoing continuing education. Since earning this certification in 2004, Dr. Mancini has integrated nutrition and lifestyle medicine into patient care, recognizing that recovery depends not only on treatment provided in the clinic but also on the choices patients make every day.

Medical-Legal Expertise

As a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME), Dr. Mancini also understands the medical-legal aspects of injury care and has extensive experience evaluating functional impairment, documenting objective findings, coordinating care among multiple providers, and supporting injured workers throughout their recovery.

Author, Educator & Speaker

One of Dr. Mancini's greatest passions is patient education. He believes informed patients become empowered participants in their own healing. Every treatment is an opportunity to help patients better understand how their body works, why symptoms develop, and what practical steps they can take to improve their health outside the clinic.

This commitment to education extends beyond the treatment room. Dr. Mancini regularly provides educational presentations for healthcare professionals, employers, attorneys, case managers, and community organizations on topics including pain physiology, injury recovery, stress regulation, workplace health, lifestyle medicine, and the integration of biomedical acupuncture into modern healthcare.

He is also the author of Biomedical Acupuncture: Enhancing Accident & Injury Care, written to help physicians, attorneys, case managers, and patients better understand how evidence-based acupuncture can complement conventional medical treatment and improve recovery following injury.

Mission

Today, Dr. Mancini continues to evolve his practice by integrating the latest research in neuroscience, fascia, autonomic nervous system regulation, movement science, nutrition, and behavioral medicine. His mission remains simple: help patients move better, heal more completely, become more resilient, and regain the capacity to fully participate in the lives they want to live.

"Our goal isn't simply to reduce pain. It's to restore the body's ability to heal, adapt, and thrive."
