Qualified Medical Examinations (QME)
A Qualified Medical Evaluation resolves disputed medical issues in a California workers' compensation claim — causation, the need for treatment, work restrictions, permanent impairment, and apportionment.
Dr. Mancini performs these evaluations with the same rigor he brings to clinical care: a complete history, an objective examination, and conclusions that are stated plainly and supported by the record.
What the evaluation includes
- Review of medical records, imaging, and prior reports
- History of injury and current complaints
- Objective physical and functional examination
- Opinions on causation, treatment necessity, and work capacity
- Impairment rating and apportionment where applicable
- A written report addressing the specific questions posed by the parties
Working with the parties
We coordinate scheduling with applicant and defense counsel, claims administrators, and adjusters, confirm appointments, and deliver reports within required timeframes. Supplemental reports and record reviews are available on request.
Deposition and testimony
Dr. Mancini is available for deposition and testimony, and is experienced at explaining clinical findings in plain language for attorneys, judges, and juries.
