Pain & Injury Care
Biomedical Acupuncture Therapy
Biomedical acupuncture is grounded in anatomy and neurology, not traditional meridian or energy-channel theory. Treatment is planned from an orthopedic and neurological evaluation: we identify which muscles, joints, nerves, and movement patterns are producing your symptoms, then treat those structures directly.
Because the reasoning is anatomical and physiological, it translates easily for physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, insurance carriers, and attorneys involved in your care.
How it works
Fine, single-use needles are placed at motor points, trigger points, and along peripheral nerve pathways. This reduces muscle guarding, improves local circulation, calms sensitized nerves, and helps the nervous system stop protecting an area that no longer needs protecting.
What a visit looks like
- Intake and history, including imaging or labs you bring with you
- Functional and orthopedic evaluation with objective measures
- Treatment the same day in most cases
- A clear plan: how many visits to expect and what progress should look like
- Regular reassessment — we evaluate your progress and share the results so you always know where you stand
Often combined with
Cupping therapy, soft tissue work, corrective exercise, and lifestyle or nutritional guidance, so the gains you make in the office hold between visits.
